The monocrystalline silicon solar cell exhibits a high efficiency of 14.215% at (AM1.5) 100 mW/cm 2. The obtained results indicate that the studied solar cell exhibits a high stability, sensitivity and quality and it can be used for photovoltaic power generation systems as a clean power source. 1 1. A monocrystalline solar cell is fabricated using single crystals of silicon by a procedure named as Czochralski progress. Its efficiency of the monocrystalline lies between 15% and 20%. It is cylindrical in shape made up of silicon ingots.
The photovoltaic properties of monocrystalline silicon solar cell have been investigated under various temperatures. The power conversion efficiency and fill factor values of studied monocrystalline silicon cell were changed with the temperature.
Monocrystalline PV system’s configurations outperformed other technologies in terms of efficiency (12.8%), performance ratio (80.5%) and specific yield per unit area (267 kWh/m 2). Accordingly, it is well-placed for sunny climates with moderate temperatures. Polycrystalline systems showed a lower performance in comparison to Monocrystalline.
