According to the results of the simulation calculation, the structure and design parameters of the thermal management system of the whole vehicle are re-matched and calculated, resulting in a new set of battery thermal management system adapted to the use of fast-charging power batteries. The results of the research in this paper are as below: 1.
Depending on the charging capacity shown in Table 1 for this fast-charging battery, the temperature setting of the power battery thermal management system is set from 20 °C to 45 °C.
Furthermore, this method optimizes resource utilization by avoiding unnecessary energy consumption when temperatures and temperature differences are within acceptable ranges, making the battery thermal management system more stable, efficient, and energy-saving.
In the study, experiments were conducted on the most typical low temperature charging, high temperature charging and high temperature and high speed overtaking conditions of electric vehicles, and the test results show that the designed battery thermal management system has good heat exchange effect.
